Deanna Williams Employee Spotlight on Care.

 

Deanna Williams, Accounting Associate, has been with MGX for over a year and brings over ten years of experience. Her workday consists of accounts payable & receivable, invoicing, ordering, reconciling statements, IT coordinating, and being a resident dog trainer and treat giver.

 

At MGX, our values guide our actions, shaping our business. One of our core values is care; Deanna lives this value daily. “I would define caring as being compassionate, sympathetic, and helpful. I must possess all these qualities when working on collections or other accounting issues our customers may have. I show I care in my current role through my attention to detail, consistency, and commitment to my work & the MGX team.”

We did a little Q&A to learn more about Deanna, why she chose MGX, and some fun facts about what she is like outside the office.

 

MGX: What stands out most for you about working at MGX?

Deanna: The team effort and positive attitude of the entire team. Regardless of the task, anyone will jump in to help from the CEO down.

 

MGX: Why did you choose your field of work?

Deanna: Accounting is a fundamental system upon which every company depends, offering exciting and rewarding career paths. The numbers tell a lot about a company, and many decisions are made based on what the accounting reports reveal. 

MGX: What is the best advice you’ve received?

Deanna: Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you.

 

MGX: Where was the last place you traveled to? What made it great?

Deanna: London. It was just me and my husband. We rented a car and drove over 1000 miles seeing not just the tourist attractions but also the natural beauty of the countryside.

 

MGX: Do you have a favorite charity you wish more people would know about?

Deanna: Animal Welfare Institute – The Animal Welfare Institute is dedicated to reducing animal suffering caused by people. We seek better treatment of animals everywhere. http://www.awionline.org/
