Masterpiece Graphix was born in 1998 out of a shared passion for the print and graphic design industries, brought to life by founders Doug and Sharon Watson. Driven by their entrepreneurial spirit and problem-solving mindset, they embarked on a journey to provide coated material solutions for HP Indigo owners during the infancy stage of the revolutionary technology.
Over the following years, our team expanded, and our coating capabilities and expertise evolved, eventually shifting our focus to the commercial sheetfed market, which we serve today by providing best in class synthetic and specialty substrate solutions.
We rebranded as MGX in 2019, paving the way for continued growth and diversification. Always believing that MGX’s greatest assets were its people, Doug and Sharon made the decision to sell the business back to the employees in 2021, establishing MGX as an ESOP. This transition affirms and emboldens the pride we take in our work and the value we deliver.
